NHFI offers NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course May 2013 PDF Print

NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course. This course will be held in three parts,  at the Enfield Outing Club June 19, 20, and 21 from 9AM to 3PM each day.  This class is open to minors from 10 to 17 years of age. Cost for minors is only $25.00 per student. Adults $150.00 per student. Class size is limited to 12 students. Everything is included in this class except for refreshments. You will spend a lot of time shooting 22 rifles in this class. Adults will have the option of shooting 5.56 and 7.62 rifles if they want. Class size is limited to 12 students. Upon receipt of a retainer of $25.00 the  course books will be mailed to the students.

Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.

More Details: This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

NHFI offers NRA Basic Handgun Shooting Course May 2013 PDF Print

NRA Basic Handgun Part 1 will be held June 3, from 6PM to 9PM and Part 2, June 9 from 9AM to 5PM. This is a great class for everyone looking to purchase their first handgun or someone wanting to learn more about handguns. We supply all the firearms and ammunition for this class. This class will be held at the Enfield Outing Club 378 Shaker Hill Road, Enfield, NH. You will have a chance to shoot 22, 38 special revolvers, 22 and 9mm Semi auto pistols. This class is $175.00 per student and includes everything except for refreshments. A retainer of $75.00 reserves your class space.

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course

Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.

More Details: This course  includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course May 2013 Postponed PDF Print

THIS COURSE HAS BEEN POSTPONED. Please check back for updates.

NRA Personal Protection the Home Course on Sunday May 26, 2013 from 8AM to 6PM. The class room will be held at the Enfield Outing Club 378 Shaker Hill Road, Enfield, NH.  Shooting portion of this class will be held elsewhere in Enfield.  Class size is limited to 12 students.  Students must supply their own firearms and ammunition. (Loaner handguns are available at no additional charge.)  Cost is $150.00. $50.00 retainer to reserve your seat in the class.  Upon receipt of the retainer the course books will be mailed to the students.

Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.

More Details: This is an ten-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 150 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.

NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.
