Granite State Sharp Shooters
About Granite State Sharp Shooters Print

The Enfield Outing Club is now home to a team of young guns, the Granite State Sharp Shooters. The twelve-member squad meets at the EOC on Sunday afternoons to practice competitive marksmanship skills. Ranging in age from 10 to 16 years, the Granite State Sharp Shooters members are coached by Scott Thompson, Ken May, and Roy Holland. The coaches share their expertise in marksmanship but also their enthusiasm and passion for shooting sports.

The team, which began in 2011, recently completed its first competitive NRA small-bore rifle events in Hudson, NH, and Taunton, MA. The Granite Sharp Shooters shoot .22 long rifle and 17 caliber air rifles, a variety of manufacturers that includes Winchester, Anschutz, and Savage. Team membership is open to students 10 to 18 years of age that have completed the NRA Basic Rifle course. The team is still a developing program acquiring both equipment and training. Funding is through fund raising events, donations, and grants. Stay tuned for more information and upcoming news from the Granite State Sharp Shooters.

Granite State Sharp Shooters Volunteers Needed Print
EOC's Granite State Sharp Shooters (GSSS) has grown to where additional adult instructors are needed.  The youths are instructed in air rifle and .22 cal. in a 3P format.  Practice is ongoing and GSSS will be participating in regional matches.
Choose your level of involvement and get involved in passing on our firearms heritage to the next generation.  This is a great opportunity for adults to help instruct with Riflemanship safety and proficiency.  Volunteers will receive training as an NRA Instructor free of charge for your commitment.
